Going to a school with over 2,000 teens is quite overwhelming. It is hard to find a group of friends that I can click with. Everyone has their interests, values, and extracurriculars that they prioritize. For me, the second I walk into the JCC every Tuesday, I am instantly surrounded by girls who bring me so much comfort and happiness. I feel like they all understand me so well. Everyone is so caring, and I could not be more grateful for the everlasting bonds I have made with this group of girls. We grew from strangers to best friends quickly, and I truly could not thank BBYO enough. I have made countless memories with these girls, and the friendships that we have made with one another will last a lifetime. BBYO gives Jewish teens like me the opportunity to be surrounded by a group of people around the same age who all have the same thing in common: being Jewish. My school does not have a huge Jewish population, so it means a lot to me that I have been able to grow my love for Judaism while also meeting a bunch of incredible Jewish teens. The close-knit group of Jewish girls in my chapter that I have been able to grow up with for the past five years has truly meant so much to me. I hope that every teen in BBYO can build the same strong connections that I have during my time in this wonderful organization!
